To the people of Memphis and the mid-south, Jimi Jamison is much more than the former lead singer of Survivor.
They remember a very young Jimi Jamison as the front man for a group called Target back in the mid 70's.
It was obvious then that Jimi had a big career ahead of him.

It's not often a high school quarterback passes for 490 yards and 10 touchdowns and his team loses by 54 points.
But Coleville, Calif., signal caller Jason Peters knows how that feels, after losing 128-74 in last year's Class 1-A state semifinal at Pahranagat Valley Alamo.
The Panthers' 128 points were a national eight-man scoring record, eclipsing the 118 put up by Northern Valley of Almena, Kan., in 1985.

Today's Seven Songs comes from someone you probably haven't heard of, but I think you should.
Line and a Dot - who is more ordinarily Sarah from Northampton - was first pitched to me by a small indie label called Things to Make and Do as new female folk artist along the lines of Elliot Smith, Alela Diane and Neutral Milk Hotel.
However, what her songs remind me of most are early Emmy the Great demos.

I have to admit that House, MD is a great show. I love to watch it and have been watching if from the beginning. Why the academy did not give him best actor is be on me. I wrote to them and complained. House, MD is just about the best show on TV and yet stupid shows that I don't think they even watch won awards. What has happened to the mentality of the TV writers. They repeat shows from years ago but with chaos, silly jokes that make no sense and seem to think that the world revoles around the 16 to 30 years olds. Who I think are just plain stupid and think too much of them selves. Where are the great writers? Where is the talent that used to be on TV. The actors from film won awards, now why do you think? Maybe because they can act, like Hugh Laurie??? Please get some adults to write about life, not these junk reality shows that are on. Thank you FOX for keeping House, MD and the talented Hugh Laurie.
